PSC Revokes Licenses Of 26 Retail Suppliers, Brokers

As of publication time on April 24, 2026, the District Of Columbia PSC posted written orders revoking the licenses of 26 retail energy suppliers and brokers for failure to reply to previously issued show cause orders concerning either: failure to respond to PSC assessment surveys, failure to respond to PSC inquiries, and/or failing to be registered with the D.C. Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection
Most of the entities subject to the revocations are understood to no longer be in business, although some entities may be in business in other jurisdictions, but withdrew (or never entered after licensing) the District Of Columbia. Certain of the legal entities subject to license revocation may be affiliated with currently licensed and active entities, with the revoked licenses being unused due to prior M&A or similar business changes.
