BGE Files New Purchase Of Receivables Discount Rates

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed with the Maryland PSC proposed new non-residential purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates for electricity and natural gas, to be effective June 1, 2026
For electricity, the Type I POR discount would be set to 0%, down from the current 0.0406%. The Type II and hourly POR discounts would remain unchanged at 0%
For gas, the General Service - Schedule C POR discount would remain unchanged at 0%
BGE's non-residential POR discounts are below:
The current and proposed 0% discounts reflect a zero-ing out of the negative discounts which result from the POR discount rate calculation, consistent with PSC precedent
BGE's tariff filing would note that residential POR has ended, except for previously purchased receivables subject to cancel/rebills and similar instances related to receivables purchased prior to December 31, 2025.
BGE does not propose an update to the residential discount rate. The reconciliation of the final residential POR balances is subject to a previously reported process
