Vistra Reports Lower Retail Adjusted EBITDA On Weather, Reports "Strong" Retail Counts And Margins

Vistra in reporting earnings today reported that its Retail segment recorded Adjusted EBITDA of $68 million for the first quarter of 2026, down from $184 million a year ago, due to mild weather in ERCOT
Vistra reported, "strong counts and margins in the retail business" and further described the Retail segment as experiencing, "strong operational and financial results excluding mild weather impacts".
Vistra said that, in the Retail segment, the company, "grew our residential customer counts".
Vistra said that Retail grew revenues 2% compared to Q1 2025 despite mild weather impacts
Vistra Retail volumes were 30.1 TWh for the first quarter of 2026, versus 33.3 TWh a year ago
Vistra said that it is serving approximately 5 million residential, commercial, and industrial retail
customers
