WGL Files POR Discount Rate

Washington Gas Light has filled in Maryland its annual update to the purchase of receivables discount rate for non-residential customers
WGL filed to maintain the non-residential POR discount at 0% in Maryland, reflecting the zero-ing out of a negative discount rate which otherwise results from the annual POR discount calculation, per PSC precedent
The 0% non-residential discount would be in place for meter readings on and after June 29, 2026, and typically lasts for one year.
WGL reported that, for non-residential customers, WGL's over-collection under the POR discount was $365,152 for the most recent period (the 11th period)
With residential POR having ended, WGL does not propose an update to the residential discount rate. The reconciliation of the final residential POR balances is subject to a previously reported process
WGL reported that, at the beginning of 2025, WGL had undercollected $607,933 from residential
customers under POR. WGL reported that the
residential POR undercollected amount has been reduced to $260,909 as of December 31, 2025.
Concerning residential POR, WGL, "will continue to monitor the outstanding balances and will bill individual suppliers for their individual write-offs."
