PSC Formally Opens Rulemaking For Retail Supplier Billing Rule Changes, Limit On Supplier Fees
The Maryland PSC, in response to a previously reported Staff request, formally opened a rulemaking to, among other things, implement the prohibition on the purchase of retail energy supplier receivables by utilities for residential customers; to impose a limit on retail supplier late fees under dual billing; and to add rule language preserving the availability of potential future billing mechanisms without needing to re-open a rulemaking. Regulator Issues Final Order On Retail Suppliers' RPS Compliance, Sets ACP Amounts Due From Each Supplier
