CL&P Residential Default Service Rate To Fall 8%; Small C&I Rate Decreasing 5%

Connecticut Light & Power has filed Standard Service rates for the period July 2026 through December 2026, and Last Resort Service Rates for the period July 2026 through Sept. 2026

The July 2026 through December 2026 CL&P (Eversource) residential (Rate 1) Standard Service rate will be 11.577¢/kWh, which is 8% lower than the current rate of 12.641¢/kWh

The July 2026 rates, and all rates below, include the bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge which will be updated to -0.210¢/kWh effective with the July 2026 default service rates

The CL&P small C&I (Rate 30 & 35) Standard Service rate will be 11.229¢/kWh for July 2026 through December 2026, which is about 5% lower than the current rate of 11.774¢/kWh
