The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

TLG Commodities LLC, the new retail electric supplier formed by several commodities structurers formerly of Calpine, has applied for a Pennsylvania retail electric supplier license to serve large commercial (over 25 kW) and industrial customers in all service areas

TLG Commodities LLC, whose creation had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, previously applied for an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate. Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service

As previously reported, Hunter Lee serves as a co-founder and CEO of TLG Commodities, and John Grossarth serves as President of TLG Commodities

Per TLG's EGS application at the Pennsylvania PUC, nine of TLG’s ten team members came directly from Calpine Energy Solutions

In addition to those TLG team members reported in ECM's prior story (click here), including Lee, TLG's EGS application at the Pennsylvania PUC lists Charlie Sumner as Vice President of Portfolio Management

Sumner has 15 years of experience spanning renewable energy origination, portfolio management, and financial analysis, and spent nearly a decade at Calpine Energy Solutions with roles including Regional Director, Portfolio Management

TLG's Pennsylvania application also confirms the titles for Aaron Martin, Jeffery Bochicchio, Mitchell Thorp, and Cameron Schwartz as, for each, Vice President of Structured Origination

TLG's Pennsylvania application reports that TLG Commodities LLC is a standalone entity that is majority owned and controlled by its employees

TLG's Pennsylvania application reports that Trafigura US Holdings, Inc. is a non-controlling, minority LLC member.
