Several Maryland Utilities List Number Of Customers Served Under Dual Billing By Each Retail Supplier

Several Maryland utilities have begun reporting the number of residential customers served under dual billing by each retail energy supplier
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the Maryland PSC recently directed that utilities shall report the specific customer counts, by supplier, under dual billing and SCB, though compliance was not required under approximately July 2
Utilities reporting the number of dual billed customers by supplier for May 2026 were Baltimore Gas & Electric, Pepco, and Delmarva. The other utilities have not yet transitioned to publicly reporting the newly required break-outs
11 retail suppliers served "residential" customers under dual billing at BGE, Pepco, and Delmarva during May 2026 (with Constellation NewEnergy and Constellation NewEnergy-Gas Division considered one supplier), with 7,873 total residential customers served under dual billing at these 3 utilities during May 2026 (includes BGE electric and gas)
Residential customers dual billed by supplier was as follows (BGE, Pepco, and Delmarva data only):
No residential customers at BGE, Pepco, and Delmarva were served under supplier consolidated billing during May 2026
SMECO reported that during the month of May
2026, SMECO had zero residential customers served by retail suppliers
