Consumer Advocate Seeks Further Stay of Proceeding Reviewing Time of Use Rates For Default Service

The Maine Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) asked the Maine PUC for an extension of a stay in a proceeding reviewing whether to adopt, on an opt-in or opt-out basis, time of use rates for electricity standard offer service

OPA asked that the current stay be extended to September 14, 2026. The stay currently expires on August 14, 2026
OPA reported that an additional settlement meeting will be held on August 31, 2026.
OPA said that the extended stay would, "allow time for an agreement to be drafted, should substantial agreement be negotiated among the parties".
