First Choice Power Launches Updated Broker Portal with 24/7 Custom Pricing

First Choice Power has launched version 2.0 of its backoffice portal for brokers and other indirect sales channels, to further reduce the administrative burden on brokers.

The key feature of the updated portal is the ability to provide brokers with instant custom pricing on a 24/7 basis for any product type, said Jeff Schiefelbein, Vice President Of Sales for First Choice Power.

Additionally, the new portal automatically emails brokers with daily refreshes of the pricing so they do not have to log back into the portal to get updated pricing.

The automatically refreshed pricing is particularly helpful, Schiefelbein said, if the broker is not prepared to move forward with the transaction immediately after the initial pricing, either because they are waiting on pricing from other REPs, or are still completing other tasks, such as a customer credit check.

Making the transaction process more seamless for the broker also makes it easier for the customer, Schiefelbein added.

The updated portal is another reflection of the "personal service" First Choice Power strives to offer its brokers and sales channels, said Schiefelbein. Over the past few years, First Choice Power has placed an increased emphasis on commercial sales and the indirect sales channel, and 70% of its commercial business is now acquired through brokers.
