Interstate Gas Supply Receives Illinois Electric License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Interstate Gas Supply an alternative retail electric supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, at Commonwealth Edison. The application was first reported in Matters (2/24). It is the first new electric license IGS Energy has received since acquiring Accent Energy to expand to retail electric service in addition to gas service. IGS also has pending electric applications in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Texas Retail Energy Receives Illinois ARES License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Texas Retail Energy, LLC an alternative retail electric supplier license limited to supplying Wal-Mart stores and related affiliates, in all service areas. The application was first reported by Matters (2/4)

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted 5Linx Enterprises, Inc. an electric agent, broker and consultant license. 5Linx Enterprises is a direct/multi-level marketing company that offers various telecom and other services which has recently expanded its product suite to include competitive electricity and natural gas sales (1/17)
