Constellation Energy Now Offering Renewable Products to ComEd Residential Customers

Constellation Energy has expanded its residential product offerings at Commonwealth Edison to include renewable products.

A 12-month 50% wind plan is initially priced at 7.85 cents per kWh. Starting with the June 1 meter read cycle, the price will be adjusted such that it is equal to ComEd's summer Electricity Supply Charge and Transmission Services Charge for BES residential customers (non-electric space heating), reduced by 8%, plus an additional 0.2 cents per kWh for the renewable energy content. The adjusted rate will continue for the remainder of the term.

A 24-month 50% wind plan is initially priced at 7.69 cents per kWh. Starting with the June 1 meter read cycle, the price will be adjusted such that it is equal to ComEd's summer Electricity Supply Charge and Transmission Services Charge for BES residential customers (non-electric space heating), reduced by 10%, plus an additional 0.2 cents per kWh for the renewable energy content. The adjusted rate will continue for the remainder of the term.

A 12-month 100% wind plan is initially priced at 8.15 cents per kWh. Starting with the June 1 meter read cycle, the price will be adjusted such that it is equal to ComEd's summer Electricity Supply Charge and Transmission Services Charge for BES residential customers (non-electric space heating), reduced by 8%, plus an additional 0.5 cents per kWh for the renewable energy content. The adjusted rate will continue for the remainder of the term.

A 24-month 50% wind plan is initially priced at 7.99 cents per kWh. Starting with the June 1 meter read cycle, the price will be adjusted such that it is equal to ComEd's summer Electricity Supply Charge and Transmission Services Charge for BES residential customers (non-electric space heating), reduced by 10%, plus an additional 0.5 cents per kWh for the renewable energy content. The adjusted rate will continue for the remainder of the term.

The 50% wind plans do not include early termination fees. The 100% wind plans include early termination fees of $150 each, which are waived in the first 90 days.
