PUCT Publishes for Comment Proposed Rule to Eliminate Rescission Period, Facilitate Same-Day Switching

The PUCT voted to issue for comment without modification Staff's proposal for publication to revise several of the substantive rules to, among other things, eliminate the rescission period (except where federally required) to support same-day switching with advanced meters (38674, see 4/22). Commissioner Kenneth Anderson said that same-day switching has the potential to change the market by enabling customers to switch every day based on price.

PUCT Revokes Prelectric Energy Services REP Certificate

The PUCT revoked the REP certificate of Prelectric Energy Services, Inc. for non-compliance with various provisions of Subst. R. 25.107 and failing to serve customers within 24 months of certification. The revocation was not contested.
