MC Squared Energy Services Receives Ohio License
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted MC Squared Energy Services, LLC an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas. The application was first reported in Matters (5/25).
Verdigris Energy Seeks Texas Aggregator Certificate
Verdigris Energy, LLC has applied for a Texas aggregator certificate to pool all classes of customers. Verdigris has been an active broker/consultant in ERCOT for about a year. Aside from procurement, Verdigris provides clients with electricity and natural gas supply and risk management, demand response program management (including in ERCOT LaaRs, EILS, 4CP and other programs), and specialized econometric studies. Current services include power in ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, and NEPOOL as well as natural gas nationally. Verdigris Energy applied to use the trade name Texas Power Club as part of its aggregator application.
Commercial Utility Consultants Receives Maine Broker License
The Maine PUC granted Commercial Utility Consultants, Inc. an electric aggregator/broker license to serve medium and large non-residential customers in all service areas.
Texas Retail Energy Receives Maine License
The Maine PUC granted Texas Retail Energy, LLC a competitive electricity provider license to serve affiliated Wal-Mart properties and related facilities at the three investor-owned utilities. The application was first reported in Matters, (6/13).
