Reliant Seeking N.Y. ESCO License

Reliant Energy Northeast LLC has a license pending to become an energy services company, or ESCO, in New York, NRG Energy disclosed yesterday in a filing at FERC concerning the New York ISO capacity market. NRG also said that Green Mountain Energy Company, "has a substantial and fast-growing retail portfolio in New York."

People's Power & Gas Receives Ohio Electric License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted People's Power & Gas, LLC an electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. The application was first reported in Matters (5/23).

Conn. Draft Would Grant License to Texas Retail Energy

A draft PURA decision would grant Texas Retail Energy, LLC a Connecticut electric supplier license limited to serving affiliated Wal-Mart properties and related facilities. The application was first reported in Matters (6/15).
