Just Energy Names Director to Expand REC, Carbon Offset Marketing

Just Energy has named Irela Bague as Regional Director of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, responsible for marketing Just Energy's "Just Clean Lifestyle" REC and carbon offset programs, which Just Energy will be expanding beyond its current footprint of Florida, Ontario, and Quebec. Prior to joining Just Energy, Bague served as President of Bague Group, a business development and public relations firm, and she previously served on the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District. To date, Just Energy said that it has invested close to $50 million in green energy projects across North America.

Reliant Named Official Energy Sponsor of State Fair of Texas

Reliant has been selected as the exclusive electricity provider and "Official Energy Sponsor" to the 125-year-old State Fair of Texas, and will present the Opening Day Downtown Parade on Sept. 30 and the nightly Reliant Starlight Parade in Fair Park.

Spark Energy Launches Mobile Website, App

Spark Energy has launched a mobile website and app. The mobile site, which includes all content from Spark's standard site optimized for mobile viewing, allows customers to shop for service, enroll, access energy-saving tips, and find outage numbers, among other things. Mobile app features include account management (Texas only), mobile payments (Texas only), an electric savings calculator, and various social media tools including feedback and games. Spark said that access to its current website from mobile devices had increased by more than 400 percent year-over-year. Spark Energy said that both its mobile app and website are compatible with the latest versions of iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry devices.
