PUCO Sets Additional Comment Period for Smart Grid Privacy, Data Rules
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio established a reply comment period concerning its investigation of smart grid data and privacy issues, with responses due November 18. Additionally, PUCO will hear stakeholder presentations on customer privacy issues after its January 11, 2012 meeting. PUCO encouraged parties to address in reply comments a number of topics listed in its October 18 entry in Case 11-277-GE-UNC, including procedures for granting access to customer energy usage data, and third-party access issues.
