Residential Migration Growth Steady at JCPL, PSE&G; ACE Sees Slowdown

Growth rates for residential migration at Jersey Central Power & Light and Public Service Electric & Gas were steady during the month of September, but dropped significantly at Atlantic City Electric.

At PSE&G, residential migration growth was 5,300 accounts from August to September, nearly even with growth of 5,400 accounts from July to August.

At JCPL, residential migration growth was about 5,000 accounts from August to September, essentially even with growth from July to August.

Atlantic City Electric saw a significant slowdown in residential migration growth during September. At ACE, the net growth in residential migration from August to September was about 300 accounts, down from nearly 1,700 accounts from July to August.

Monthly migration growth in the <500 kW class continued to slow for the second straight month. Growth in this class at PSE&G and JCPL had been as high as 2,000 to 4,000 accounts per month in July, but ranged from 500 to 1,200 accounts during September.

As a percentage of total residential accounts, migration for the month of September 2011 was as follows:

Atlantic City Electric: 12.4%

Jersey Central Power & Light: 11.9%

Public Service Electric & Gas: 7.1%

Rockland Electric: 5.3%
