PUCT Staff Posts Calculation of ERCOT Installed Capacity

PUCT Staff have posted in Project 39870 an estimate of the installed generating capacity in ERCOT, including the estimated total used for the "small fish swim free" market power exemption under P.U.C Subst. R. 25.504(c).
Staff's estimate of ERCOT installed capacity for purposes of Subst. R. 25.504(c) is 81,538 MW.
The installed capacity value for Subst. R. 25.504(c) is slightly smaller than the value used for the 20% capacity limit (PURA Sec. 39.154) because it does not include uncontrollable renewable capacity or import capability.
