Independence Energy Group LLC this morning applied for a Connecticut electric supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. Independence Energy Group is the network marketing arm of Energy Plus, now a unit of NRG Energy, and typically serves the mass market.

Xoom Energy Seeks Illinois Gas License

Xoom Energy Illinois, LLC yesterday applied for an Illinois alternative natural gas supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. Xoom Energy's intent to seek an AGS license in Illinois was intimated in its recent electric supplier license application, which was exclusively reported by Matters (see 11/2)

South Jersey Energy Co. Receives Ohio Gas License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted South Jersey Energy Company a natural gas supplier license to serve small commercial and large commercial customers in all service areas. The application was first reported in Matters (10/11).

Qvinta Energy Services Seeks D.C. Gas Broker License

Qvinta Energy Services applied for a District of Columbia natural gas broker/aggregator license to serve all customer classes.

H.P. Technologies Receives Ohio Electric Broker License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted H.P. Technologies, Inc. an electric broker/aggregator license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers in all service areas. H.P. Technologies is a certified Ohio gas marketer.
