Sharyland to File Rate Case for Delivery Tariffs in New Choice Areas

Sharyland Utilities intends to file a base rate case to establish, prior to January 1, 2014, delivery rates for the four service areas proposed to transition to choice (see 7/14 for background). In Sharyland's original retail choice transition plan, Sharyland did not contemplate a rate case prior to the transition to retail choice, and thus proposed using transitional delivery rates which reflected the current tariffs for the Stanton, Colorado City, Brady, and Celeste divisions, except that all power supply costs would be removed. After discussions with PUCT Staff and other parties, Sharyland has determined that it will not use transitional delivery rates and will instead establish such delivery rates in a base rate case (39592).

PUCT Approves Oncor AMS Reconciliation

The PUCT approved without modification an unopposed stipulation regarding reconciliation of Oncor's advanced metering system surcharge (39552). There is no change in the AMS surcharge applicable to REPs as a result of the stipulation (See 10/11).
