Plymouth Rock Energy Receives Pennsylvania License

The Pennsylvania PUC this morning granted Plymouth Rock Energy, LLC an electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes at PECO Energy Company, PPL Electric Utilities, Penelec, West Penn Power, Duquesne Light, Met-Ed and Penn Power. The application was first reported in Matters (9/29).

Sperian Energy Corp. Receives Expanded Pa. License

The Pennsylvania PUC this morning granted Sperian Energy Corp. an expanded electric generation supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service territories. Previously, Sperian Energy's license was limited to small volume customers at PECO and PPL.

Great American Power Receives Expanded Pa. License

The Pennsylvania PUC this morning granted Great American Power, LLC an amended electric generation supplier license to include service at Duquesne Light, and include service to large commercial, industrial, and governmental customers. The application was first reported in Matters (10/18).

Utility Savings Solutions Receives Pa. License

The Pennsylvania PUC this morning granted Utility Savings Solutions LLC an electric broker/marketer license to serve commercial customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers in all service areas. The application was first reported in Matters (9/7).

Conn. Grants License to Noble Americas Energy Solutions

Consistent with an earlier draft, a final Connecticut PURA decision granted Noble Americas Energy Solutions, LLC an electric supplier license to serve commercial and industrial customers. Noble Americas Energy Solutions is currently serving load under the former Sempra Energy Solutions license, but PURA determined that, since the purchase constituted a transfer of license, Noble Americas Energy Solutions was required to demonstrate its own financial, technical, and managerial capability to continue to operate as an electric supplier (9/14).
