ICC Approves AGL-Nicor Merger

The Illinois Commerce Commission today approved the merger of AGL Resources Inc. and Nicor Inc. (11-0046).
A final order was not immediately available.
However, the ICC did adopt, in some manner (exact language not yet available) a proposed order's recommendation which requires utility Nicor Gas to cease soliciting customers to purchase non-utility products offered by affiliates during inbound utility business calls (most of the case focused on home warranty products but competitive supply is also implicated).
