ERCOT Requires Additional Time for Monticello RMR Determination

ERCOT said that it requires additional time to determine whether Luminant Monticello Units 1 and 2, which have submitted a Notification of Suspension of Operations, are required for Reliability Must-Run Service. "Due to recent changes on the ERCOT System that impact the RMR analysis, and due to the receipt of additional data from the impacted Transmission Service Provider, Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, ERCOT requires additional time to assess the transmission system reliability impacts of the suspension of operations of Monticello Units 1 and 2," ERCOT said. ERCOT said that it will issue its final determination no later than December 19, 2011.

ERCOT Announces Next Retail Market Qualification Testing, Including Mandatory TX SET 4.0 Test

ERCOT announced that the next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing (Flight 0312) is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 23, 2012. In addition to any new REPs, successful completion of this testing effort will be required for all Competitive Retailers and TDSPs, because Flight 0312 will test for TX SET Version 4.0. Failure to successfully complete the required testing initiative will result in de-certification in the ERCOT market. All existing CRs and TDSPs that are only testing for the TX SET V4.0 upgrade will be registered for Flight 0312 by ERCOT.

Energy Plus Says Most Customers First Engage Via Web

About 60 percent of all prospective customers first engage with Energy Plus Holdings LLC through its web site, the supplier said in announcing that it is adopting a hybrid cloud model for running production applications that utilizes both SunGard's Enterprise Cloud Services and existing managed services the company employs from SunGard. Energy Plus serves more than 180,000 customers.
