The New York PSC has approved a voluntary Time of Use generation rate option for Service Classification No. 2 - Non-Demand (SC2-ND) customers at Niagara Mohawk.
The program will be available starting June 1, 2012.
Under the approved program, rate periods under the SC2-ND voluntary TOU program will be:
• On Peak: 12:00 p.m. (noon) through 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
• Shoulder Peak: 7:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 8:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
• Off Peak: All other hours, including weekends and holidays.
These rate periods will not change by month or by season, unlike NiMo's Service Classification-1C Optional Large Time of Use (SC1-C TOU) rate periods.
The SC2-ND voluntary TOU customers will be billed per Rule 46.1.2, similar to NiMo's SC-1C customers, where a 30-day weighted billing rate for each rate period is used.
An incremental monthly customer charge of $3.36 will apply to customers electing TOU service, to recover the metering related participant costs.
