PECO Sees Reversal of Residential Migration Decline

PECO has seen a reversal of the decline seen in residential migration, as the past week saw the largest net growth in migrated residential accounts recorded in several months.

From December 14 to December 20, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by almost 7,000 accounts -- the highest weekly growth rate in months. Furthermore, the growth reverses the week-ago net loss of 150 residential accounts on competitive supply.

Met-Ed continues to see strong growth in residential migration, with residential accounts on competitive supply growing by 4,800 in the most recent week, which is higher than the week-ago growth of 4,300 accounts.

Duquesne Light saw residential migration grow by 2,000 accounts during the most recent week; a week-ago comparison is unavailable.

Residential migration growth was essentially steady at Penelec (+2,500 accounts) and West Penn Power (+1,200 accounts) compared with the week-ago growth.

Data for PPL was not updated in the December 21 report.
