Maine PUC Sets Standard Offer Rate at BHE

The Maine PUC has adopted a new Standard Offer rate for Bangor Hydro-Electric's large non-residential customer class.

Specifically, the PUC established the BHE large non-residential customer class Standard Offer rate as $0.11000/kWh for the month of January 2011.

This price includes an adder of $0.01740 (increased from the prior adder of $0.00579) to recover a portion of deferred under collected amounts.

As previously reported (see 8/15), the PUC is setting the BHE rates on a monthly basis after rejecting proposals for six-month contracts for supplies
