Met-Ed Continues to See Strong Weekly Growth in Residential Migration

Met-Ed saw residential migration growth exceed 4,000 accounts for the third straight week, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

PECO saw a significant drop in its weekly growth rate of residential migration. From December 21 to December 27, PECO saw net growth of 1,200 migrated residential customers, down from the growth of nearly 7,000 in the immediately prior week.

Met-Ed saw its third consecutive week of residential migration growth in excess of 4,000 accounts, with net growth of 4,600 residential shoppers from December 22 to December 28, versus net growth of 4,800 accounts in the immediately prior week.

Residential migration growth was essentially steady at Penelec (+2,400 accounts) and down slightly at West Penn Power (+1,000 accounts versus +1,200 a week ago).
