Nstar Sees Reversal in Migration Loss at Commonwealth Electric

Nstar saw a reversal of the trend of declining residential migration at its Commonwealth Electric territory, according to recently posted November statistics from the Massachusetts DPU.

Most notably, Commonwealth Electric saw residential migration by non-low income residential customers increase by over 8,000 accounts from October to November, reversing the month-ago loss of 3,000 migrated accounts.
Commonwealth Electric also saw small commercial & industrial migration increase by 1,600 accounts, reversing the month-ago loss of 400 migrated customers in this class.
Nstar's Boston Edison territory, however, saw non-low income residential migration continue to decline at a relatively even pace, with 250 customers in this class leaving competitive supply from October to November.
From October to November, Massachusetts Electric (National Grid) saw a net increase of 800 non-low income residential customers on competitive supply, a slower growth rate than the net increase of 1,400 migrated non-low income residential customers on competitive supply from September to October.
