Viridian Energy Launches Gas Service in Eight Markets

As previously reported (9/26), Viridian Energy launched its expansion to natural gas service at the start of the year, although its initial markets have changed slightly from its earlier announcement.
Viridian is now offering natural gas supply in the following service areas, with the residential offering currently consisting of a variable rate product (current residential rate listed in parenthesis):
New York
Central Hudson Gas & Electric (45.00¢/Ccf)
Consolidated Edison (43.00¢/Therm)
KeySpan New York (51.00¢/Therm)
KeySpan Long Island (49.00¢/Therm)
Orange & Rockland (47.00¢/Ccf)
New Jersey
New Jersey Natural Gas (47.00¢/Therm)
PSE&G (45.00¢/Therm)
Pennsylvania:
PECO (41.00¢/Ccf)
Viridian, through its Cincinnati Bell Energy brand, also offers natural gas at Duke Energy Ohio (see 11/29).
Viridian also announced specific intentions to enter Peoples Natural Gas in Pennsylvania and South Jersey Gas in New Jersey by the second quarter.
