ERCOT Board Elects New Chair, Vice Chair
ERCOT's Board of Directors had elected Craven Crowell as chair and former PUCT Commissioner Judy Walsh as vice-chair. Crowell, who served for eight years as chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority, replaces Laura Doll who resigned to pursue a career opportunity in California. After 25 years of government service, Crowell was an energy and water resources consultant, most recently as a partner at Oliver Wyman, the international management consulting firm headquartered in Boston. Crowell also has served as chairman of the Texas Reliability Entity, chairman of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and as a member of the board and executive committee of the Nuclear Energy Institute. Walsh served on the PUCT from 1995 to 2001. Walsh worked most recently as a senior vice president of government affairs and regulatory policy for SBC Communications (now AT&T) in San Antonio.
