Enova Energy Group Acquires American New Energy

Enova Energy Group, an independent power producer of clean energy projects, has acquired a majority interest in American New Energy, an energy procurement and management consultant, Enova Energy Group confirmed Friday.
The acquisition was first reported by SparkSpread.com. Terms were not disclosed.
The transaction is Enova Energy Group's first entry into the retail market, which Enova said it is pursuing to broaden its portfolio.
Specifically, Enova Energy Group told Matters that it is interested in expanding American New Energy's service to include load-serving supply.
Enova Energy Group is currently developing a 37.5 MW biomass generation facility in Plainfield, Connecticut.
American New Energy currently offers electric and natural gas procurement services, and various energy efficiency solutions including audits and project financing. Additional services include lighting retrofits, energy management systems, and HVAC controls.
