Consumers Energy Files Final Electric Choice Cap for 2012

Consumers Energy has filed its final electric choice cap for the year 2012 with the Michigan PSC.

Consumers Energy reported that its final cap for 2012 is 3,699,230 MWh, based on weather-adjusted retail sales for the calendar year 2011 of 36,992,295 MWh.

Current choice volumes of 3,910,960 MWh already exceed this cap.

According to Consumers Energy's cap tracking system, there are 3,941 customers representing 3,375,991 MWh in the queue to take choice service.
