PECO Posts Default Service Procurement Results

PECO has posted results from its winter 2012 solicitation for default service supplies held on January 18, 2012.

For residential customers, PECO procured 10 tranches (1.60% of class load each) of fixed full requirements supply for the period June 2012 through May 2013 at a weighted average winning bid price of $58.45/MWh.

For residential customers, PECO procured 7 tranches (1.60% of class load each) of fixed full requirements supply for the period June 2012 through May 2014 at a weighted average winning bid price of $65.07/MWh.

For small commercial customers, PECO procured 10 tranches (3.60% of class load each) of fixed full requirements supply for the period June 2012 through May 2013 at a weighted average winning bid price of $63.12/MWh.

For medium commercial customers, PECO procured 10 tranches (4.47% of class load each) of fixed full requirements supply for the period June 2012 through May 2013 at a weighted average winning bid price of $60.45/MWh.

PECO said that it will post the Price to Compare for April 1 through June 30, 2012 on February 15, 2012. The estimated Price to Compare for July 1 through September 30, 2012 will be posted on April 2, 2012.

The winter 2012 procurement saw five winning bidders for residential fixed full requirements contracts, three winning bidders for small commercial fixed full requirements contracts, and two winning bidders for medium commercial fixed full requirements contracts.
