Winning Bidders of FirstEnergy Ohio Auction Revealed

Consistent with prior direction from PUCO, CRA International submitted an unredacted list of winning bidders in the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities' default service auction held in January.

The auction was part of a series of procurements to serve default service load for the period June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2014.

As previously reported, the tranche-weighted average price of winning bids was $44.76 per MWh

In the recent auction, 17 tranches were won by six suppliers as follows (winning bidder is listed, followed by tranches won and tranche-weighted average price in $/MWh to be paid to that supplier):

AEP Energy Partners, Inc.: 2 @ $44.75

American Electric Power Service Corporation: 2 @ $44.75

Buckeye Power Inc.: 1 @ $44.75

Constellation Energy Commodities Group, Inc.: 5 @ $44.75

DTE Energy Trading, Inc.: 6 @ $44.77

Duke Energy Commercial Asset Management, Inc.: 1 @ $44.75
