PUCO Approves New SCO Retail Price Adjustment at Dominion East Ohio

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved today a new Standard Choice Offer Retail Price Adjustment of $0.60 per Mcf at Dominion East Ohio, resulting from an auction conducted yesterday.
The Retail Price Adjustment will be fixed for the period April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013, and will be added to NYMEX closing price for the prompt month to set the Standard Choice Offer rate.
The Retail Price Adjustment for the 2011-12 period had been $1.00 per Mcf.
The SCO auction is a retail auction which assigns specific customers to winning suppliers (plus a portion of the load ineligible for choice, such as Percentage of Income Payment Plan customers) for a one-year term. As previously reported, there were no longer separate Standard Service Offer and Standard Choice Offer auctions, as the volume of choice ineligible customers were included in the SCO tranches.
The Standard Service Offer will continue in name for choice ineligible customers, with the price identical to the SCO price.
Three bidders were each awarded three tranches of customers. Identities are confidential for 15 days.
Sixteen bidders participated in the auction.
The SCO auction was conducted by World Energy Solutions, Inc.
