Choice Energy Services Acquires Equus Retail

Choice Energy Services announced that it has acquired Equus Retail.
Terms were not disclosed.
Choice Energy Services said that the acquisition extends the company's market leading position in power and natural gas and adds new services in regulated states.
"This acquisition enables us to continue to build out our comprehensive and innovative approach to energy procurement and management," said Kiki Dikmen, Managing Partner of Choice Energy Services.
"We will continue to aggressively seek out growth opportunities that help Choice customers reduce their energy-related risks, create efficiencies and provide optimal cost control," added Javier Loya, Chairman and CEO of OTC Global Holdings, the parent company of Choice Energy Services.
The acquisition expands Choice Energy Services' geographic footprint beyond Houston and New York to include Louisville, KY.
Choice Energy Services further said that the acquisition will allow it to offer customers a tariff analysis tool to verify taxation rates and structures.
