Start-up Western Reserve Energy Services to Launch in Ohio

Start-up Western Reserve Energy Services, LLC has applied for an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

Western Reserve Energy Services said that it will principally target small and medium sized business customers via a direct sale channel.

Western Reserve Energy Services will eventually expand to residential customers as well as mass market and agent sales channels.

Ryan Wiegner, CEO and Chairman, has 13 years of operations experience in small and large telecommunications companies, including First Communications (where he was Vice President of Network Operations), a national facilities based competitive telecommunications carrier, and Expedient, a regional Internet service provider and data center provider.

Edward Wiegner, Vice Chairman, served 12 years as Senior and Executive Vice President, and Director, at Wisconsin Power and Light Company and American Natural Resources. Edward Wiegner also served as Director of Great Lakes Gas Transmission, a Canadian/American competitive energy supplier.
