South Jersey Gas Sees Decline in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

South Jersey Gas saw a decrease in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from the period October 2011 to January 2012, according to the latest stats form the New Jersey BPU.

From October 2011 to January 2012, South Jersey gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decline by 5,300 accounts. During this period, the number of choice eligible residential distribution accounts increased by 3,000.

At PSE&G, the number of residential customers on competitive supply increased by 12,000 from October 2011 to January 2012. PSE&G had experienced a net loss of 1,300 residential shoppers from September 2011 to October 2011.

From October 2011 to January 2012, New Jersey Natural Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,800 accounts, while Elizabethtown Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 225 accounts during the same period.
