Ohio Sees Increase in Residential Gas Customers on Competitive Supply in All Areas

All of Ohio's natural gas distribution companies saw an increase in choice enrollments during the period from September 2011 to December 2011, according to the latest stats from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio

From September 2011 to December 2011, Dominion East Ohio saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 11,000 accounts. For comparison, from June 2011 to September 2011, Dominion East Ohio had seen the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 25,000 accounts.
From September 2011 to December 2011, Duke Energy Ohio saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 4,800 accounts, up from the growth of 3,900 accounts seen from June 2011 to September 2011.
Vectren Energy Delivery saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 2,700 accounts from September 2011 to December 2011, reversing the loss of 2,500 residential shoppers from June 2011 to September 2011.
Columbia Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,800 accounts from September 2011 to December 2011, versus the loss of 10,000 residential shoppers from June 2011 to September 2011.
