Approved Illinois Opt-Out Aggregations Cover 1 Million Customers, Constellation Says

Constellation Energy said that preliminary election results show voters approved 58 percent of municipal aggregation ballot issues in suburban and downstate Illinois cities, covering more than 200 Illinois communities and roughly 1 million Illinois residents. About 3.1 million residential customers were on ComEd default service as of January 2012, and the aggregations in the ComEd territory alone represent nearly one-third of default service customers.

Illinois Opens Proceeding on Certifying Installers of EV Charging Stations

The Illinois Commerce Commission has initiated a proceeding (12-0212) addressing certification requirements applicable to vendors that install electric vehicle charging stations. An order initiating the proceeding was not immediately available.
