New Hampshire Approves New Default Service Rates for Granite State Electric

The New Hampshire PUC has approved new default service rates at Granite State Electric Company d/b/a National Grid for residential and small commercial customers for the period May 1, 2012 through October 31, 2012, and for medium and large commercial and industrial customers for the period May 1, 2012 through July 31, 2012.

For residential and small commercial customers (Small Customer Group), a recent procurement for 100% of supplies for the May 1, 2012 through October 31, 2012 period resulted in a load-weighted average base generation rate of $0.04923 per kilowatt hour.

After adjustments for reconciliation and reclassification and the adder for compliance with the company's RPS obligations, the default service rate for the Small Customer Group is $0.05884 per kWh for the May 1, 2012 through October 31, 2012 period.

Macquarie Energy LLC will serve 100% of the Small Customer Group default service load for this period.

For medium and large commercial and industrial customers (Large Customer Group), new default service rates are as follows for the May through July period ($/kWh):
