Veteran Energy Launches Affinity Program with Lone Survivor Foundation
Retail electric provider Veteran Energy has launched a partnership with the Lone Survivor Foundation through the company's "Power to Give Back" affinity program. Under the program, Veteran Energy will make a donation to the Lone Survivor Foundation on behalf of customers who enroll in a six or 12-month rate plan. The Lone Survivor Foundation's mission is to restore families through holistic healing for a better quality of life after combat injuries.
Direct Energy Seeking to Fill 200 Jobs with Move to Houston
Direct Energy said that it is seeking to fill approximately 200 jobs being created as part of its previously reported decision to relocate its head office to Houston, Texas from Toronto, Ontario.
FirstEnergy Solutions Extends Agreement with Avon Lake Municipal Utilities
FirstEnergy Solutions said that Avon Lake Municipal Utilities has extended for an additional year an electric supply agreement under which FES will supply renewable electric generation to the Avon Lake Water Filtration Plant, Water Pollution Control Center, and other facilities through December 2014. During the last year of the agreement, FirstEnergy Solutions will retire enough RECs to equal 25 percent of Avon Lake Municipal Utilities' generation use.
