Cincinnati Selects Supplier for Opt-Out Aggregation

The City of Cincinnati, Ohio has selected FirstEnergy Solutions to supply its opt-out electricity municipal aggregation with 100% green power.
Over the next several weeks, the City will negotiate a contract with FirstEnergy Solutions, the city said in a news release.
FirstEnergy Solutions was selected from seven proposals submitted in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for 24 months of supply, both for conventional power and 100% green power.
The city said that FirstEnergy Solutions' proposal, "included an offer to work with the City to structure and provide applicable energy kits, energy efficient programs and education seminars at community events to enhance programs."
Cincinnati reported that the RFP resulted in offers representing the following annual estimated savings per average household:

Duke Energy Retail Sales: $31.84
Constellation NewEnergy: $143.62
FirstEnergy Solutions: $156.30
AEP Retail: $85.85
Direct Energy: $104.64
Cincinnati Bell Energy: $91.20
100% Green
DPL Energy Resources: $110.88
Duke Energy Retail Sales: $26.05
Constellation NewEnergy: $132.10
FirstEnergy Solutions: $133.14
