Decline in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply Persists at PPL

The loss of residential customers taking competitive supply at PPL continued at a steady rate during the most recent week, according to the most recent data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From April 15 to April 21, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 796 accounts, up marginally versus the loss of 715 residential customers on competitive supply in the immediately prior week.
In the most recent week, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,700 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,800 accounts.
At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,900 accounts, versus the growth of 2,400 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,700 accounts, versus the growth of 1,800 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 700 accounts, versus the growth of 1,100 accounts in the immediately prior week.
Duquesne Light saw residential migration grow by 1,000 accounts in the most recent week, versus 1,050 in the immediately prior week
