Growth in Residential Gas Customers on Competitive Supply Essentially Steady at BGE, WGL

The rate of growth in the number of residential natural gas customers taking competitive supply was essentially steady during the first quarter of the year at Baltimore Gas & Electric and Washington Gas Light.

From December 31, 2011 to March 31, 2012, Baltimore Gas & Electric saw the number of residential gas customers on competitive supply increase by 4,200, down marginally from the growth of 4,400 accounts seen from September 30, 2011 to December 31, 2011.
Washington Gas Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,900 from December 31, 2011 to March 31, 2012, up from the growth of 2,400 accounts seen from September 30 to December 31.
