Liberty Power Owners Launching Wholesale Business to Supply Utilities

Several owners of Liberty Power Corp. are launching a new wholesale business to supply utilities.
Liberty Power Wholesale Supply, LLC yesterday sought FERC authorization for market-based rate authority.
Specifically, Liberty Power Wholesale Supply informed FERC that it, "intends to participate in wholesale transactions stemming from California Public Utilities Commission General Order 156, which provides opportunities for minority-owned businesses to participate in procurement contracts with the major California electric utilities."
In the future, Liberty Power Wholesale Supply said that it may participate in other wholesale electric markets that are subject to FERC's jurisdiction.
Liberty Power Wholesale Supply is distinct from Liberty Power Corp., LLC, and Liberty Power Corp.'s various retail supply subsidiaries, but is comprised of two of the owners of Liberty Power Corp.
It is not believed Liberty Power Corp., LLC or any affiliate has previously participated in any wholesale supply sales, such as default service procurements.
