Decline in Number of Residential Customers on Competitive Supply Accelerates at PPL

The loss of residential customers taking competitive supply at PPL increased during the most recent week, according to the most recent data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From April 29 to May 5, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 702 accounts, versus the loss of 133 residential customers on competitive supply in the immediately prior week.
In the most recent week, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, down from the week-ago growth of 1,800 accounts.
At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,100 accounts, versus the growth of 1,400 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 750 accounts, versus the growth of 1,150 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 500 accounts, versus the growth of 1,000 accounts in the immediately prior week.
Due to a reporting gap, a week-ago comparison for Duquesne Light is not available, but for the two-week period from April 22 to May 5, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,700 accounts.
