PPL Sees First Increase in Residential Shopping in Several Weeks, Growth Increases at Other EDCs

PPL Electric saw its first increase in the number of residential customers on competitive supply in several weeks, according to the most recent data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From May 6 to May 12, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 105 accounts, versus the loss of 702 residential customers on competitive supply in the immediately prior week.
In the most recent week, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,200 accounts, more than double the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,500 accounts, versus the growth of 1,100 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,000 accounts, versus the growth of 750 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 460 accounts, versus the growth of 500 accounts in the immediately prior week.
In the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,400 accounts. Due to a reporting gap, a comparison to week-ago growth is not available.
