Duquesne Light Files New Default Service Rates

Duquesne Light has filed new default service rates for small Commercial and Industrial customers (< 25 kW) for the period of June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013, and medium Commercial and Industrial customers (25-300 kW) for the period of June 1, 2012 through November 30, 2012.

For Rate Schedule GS/GM and GMH customers with monthly metered demand less than 25 kW, the Supply Charge for June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013 will be 4.5826 cents per kWh, versus the current 5.6953 cents per kWh.

For Rate Schedule GS/GM and GMH customers with monthly metered demand from 25 kW to 300 kW, the Supply Charge for June 1, 2012 through November 30, 2012 will be 4.6480 cents per kWh, versus the current 5.4684 cents per kWh.

The Supply Charges reflect, as procured in an RFP, energy, capacity, transmission and distribution line losses, congestion and congestion management costs, Alternative Energy Credits (AECs) and other such services or products that are required to provide default service to the company's commercial and industrial customers including Auction Revenue Rights and Financial Transmission Rights (ARRs/FTRs).

The Supply Charges do not include transmission service within Duquesne's zone or ancillary services, which are also bypassable and reflected in the Transmission Service Charge.
